Well it seems I have drawn the short straw, and I am supposed to yet again try to shine the "bright light of knowledge" deeply into some poor club members eyes :?

Yep you got it! due to popular demand I have been roped into doing another covering night. Last year we all sat round and watched poor Gavin go three rounds with some Olive Drab Solartex, and a Pupeteer aileron. Alas the aileron still hasn't flown. This year it has been suggested we demonstrate Solarfilm. Yikes!!!

Anyway, if you want to come and point fingers at me, saying you don't want to do it like that! Then we will see you on the July clubnight, and you will of course be offered the opportunity to come and show us how "YOU" would do it.

Carl has offered the use one of his tatty models as the subject of a recovering exercise. Once we figure out how to remove the soaked in oil.

Where did I put all that pastel pink solarfilm...........

Cheers

Andy you are welcome matey. I think most are pretty up to speed with covering hence the low numbers. Sorry it was a bit disjointed, but hopefully you saw that it is nothing to be worried about.

I was toying with doing a session on basic building in balsa, if anybody is interested?
The idea was to take a plan and build part of it from scratch. I was thinking the circular rudder from the Fokker Dr1. Its good to show how to transfer parts from plan to wood. And also on how to make accurate joints in balsa. All basic stuff for most, but it might help some.

Give one of the comittee a shout if anybody is keen and we can put something together.

Hi Danny thats right up my street as you know, if you don't mind doing it, i will put it to Reg when i see him.
As for the covering you make it look easier than it is, and its not easy with people watching
